Relax and Meet
Placement De Provincie Limburg
February 15th, 2007, Relax & Meet was placed next to the Gouvernemental Building of the Provincie Limburg in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Pictures can be found of (f).
International Design Competition
In December 2004, the international design competition PreC2OMP was organized by the event of BIBM (Bureau International du Béton Manufacturé) Conference 2005 in the RAI in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Students were challenged to make a creative design for a covered meeting place with an open character, made by pre-cast concrete. I won the contest with my design Relax&Meet.
In the next pages you will find the submitted design, the preperation and creation of the design and after winning; the preparation of the production, the production process and finally the presentation of the elements at the conference in Amsterdam. The story didn't end after the presentation, because the Eindhoven University of Technology liked to place my design on their campus terrain. Now, Relax&Meet is also placed at the terrain of the Provincie Limburg in Maastricht as the read the news in the newspaper. They contacted me to make another one.
