ToyHouse; constructief
The structural part of this introductionary project was about to design a structural system to construct the building by only making use of the poles. The poles have to bare the whole building and also the transport of elements and the construction on site over water had to be taken into account. Students also had to show their understanding of structural design and bearing systems. My design was built up by bars and the scaffold was filled out by slabs and plates to create the structures stability.
The connection of a lumber bar between the poles, which has to be able to bear the loads, was complex. In the below figures you can see how the connection to the steel poles was established.
